Ian Stenlake

Caress/Ache was Ian Stenlake’s first production with Griffin Theatre Company.


His theatre credits include, for Shows Management: Guys and Dolls (Melbourne/Sydney 2009/10); for The Production Company The Pajama Game and They’re Playing Our Song; for Harvest Rain Theatre Company: Oklahoma!; for Queensland Theatre Company and QPAC: Billie Brown’s The School of the Arts; for Darlinghurst Theatre Company: Daylight Saving; for Hayes Theatre: in Truth Beauty and a Picture of You, for which he received best actor nomination for the Sydney Theatre Awards and won the Glugs Award.


Ian is perhaps best known for the role of Commander Mike Flynn in the Australian drama series Sea Patrol from 2007 to 2011 and for playing the lead role of Constable Oscar Stone in Channel Nine’s Stingers from 1998 to 2002.


His ohter television credits include, for ABC: Children’s Hospital; for Southern Star: Murder Call; for ABC2: Dance Academy and the British Soap Opera Emmerdale: The Dingles Down Under.


Ian was nominated for a Helpmann Award for Oklahoma! In 2006 and has been nominated for four Greenroom Awards and won two: for Oklahoma! And They’re Playing Our Song.
